Rafael Polanco, new collaborator for innovatrombone

Rafael Polanco Olmos studied with Joaquín Vidal in Valencia and Miguel Badía in Barcelona. He has the grade of Superior Professor of Trombone and Tuba (Euphonium). In this last instrumental discipline he obtains the honor prize of superior degree. He holds a degree in Media Studies (Journalism) from the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona and a PhD from the University of Valencia. The pedagogy and musical didactics are areas to which he has devoted much of his professional life, participating as a speaker in various educational forums and regularly teaching training courses for music teachers in most of the conservatories of the Valencian Community, many of them promoted by CEFIRE. He has also participated in several conferences and congresses, mainly addressing the topics of academic and professional guidance in conservatories and musical education skills.

From 2013 to 2016 he was part of the board of directors of the ATE (Association of Spanish Trombonists), as secretary.

 

His professional work is currently performed at the Conservatori Professional de Música de Torrent, as Professor of Trombone and Musical Journalism. Since the 2012-13 academic year, he also deals with the academic and professional orientation of the students of this center.
