From Innovatrombone we present the Adarts Brass, Metals Festival that counts with the organization of the Sanganxa Foundation, the SM of La Llosa de Ranes and the sponsorship of the City Council of La Llosa de Ranes and Adams Brass Instruments.
The Festival will take place in June, during the 25th, 26th and 27th of 2019 in La Llosa de Ranes, with Ángel Serrano as artistic director, with the collaboration of the directors Henrie Adams and Rafa Grau.
Adarts Brass is a course for brass instrumentalists, aimed at students who are finishing elementary, professional and higher education. Focused on high performance in interpretation, this year the Festival has internationally prestigious teachers, members of important orchestras and conservatories such as: the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra OBC, RTVE Orchestra, Bilbao Orkestra, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and prestigious study centres of the ESMUC, Royal Northern College of Music of Manchester Conservatory of Amsterdam, Camile Saint-Saens Conservatory of Paris Conservatory CRR of Paris.

Ad Welleman (Trumpet) Netherlands Philarmonic Orchestra – Amsterdam Conservatory
Ad Welleman studied trumpet at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague with John Taber and Peter Masseurs and took lessons with Armando Ghitalla, Roger Voisin, Phil Smith and William Vacchiano in the United States. He plays with the Netherlands Wind Ensemble, the ASKO Schoenberg Ensemble, the New Ensemble and numerous symphony orchestras such as the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra and the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra. He is also a member of the wind ensemble of the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra and the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. As a soloist he performed concerts for Hertel, JS Bach, Haydn, Ligeti, Neruda and Shostakovich with several orchestras.
Ángel Serrano (trumpet) Barcelona Symphony Orchestra OBC-Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya ESMUC
Member of the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra and National of Catalonia, with this formation he has played on numerous occasions as a solo trumpet, in the best halls in the world such as Royal Albert Hall (BBC PROMS), Carnegie Hall (NY), Kennedy Center (Washington) and Royal Concertgebouw (Amsterdam).
In the pedagogical aspect he has made numerous courses of improvement by all the Spanish geography. He is a frequent guest of the Spanish National Youth Orchestra, the Basque Country Youth Orchestra, the Murcia Region Youth Orchestra, JONC, the University of Andalusia and the Utrecht Conservatory (Holland).
He has been teaching trumpet and chamber music since 2002 at the Escuela Superior de Música de Cataluña. Also from September 2004 to 2012 he has been professor of orchestral trumpet repertoire at the Centro de Estudios Superiores del País Vasco, MUSIKENE.

Alberto Menéndez (horn) BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra-Royal Northern College of Music de Manchester
Current Principal Horn of the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra (UK) since the 2016/17 season. As a soloist he has won two first national awards and has performed Strauss Concerto No. 1 with the RTVE Orchestra, Mozart Concerto No. 4 with the Munich Kammerorchester, Schumann Konzertstuck with the JONDE and appears as a soloist with the BBC Philharmonic and BBCSSO playing Mozart and Strauss concerts.
Alberto is an International Professor at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester and offers masterclasses at the Royal Academy and Royal College of Music in London.
Mario Torrijo (tuba) Orchestra of Spanish Radio Television – RCSM Madrid.
Since 2008 he has been working with percussionist Raul Benavente playing contemporary music and innovating in the creation of new forms of artistic expression for tuba and percussion (Tupami duo). He currently teaches Tuba and Chamber Music at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid and Tuba soloist with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Radiotelevisión Española. Since 1995 he has been a member of THE Sir Aligator´s Company.
Alejandro Biot (trombone) Professor of trombone at the Conservatoire Camille Saint -Saëns in Paris and Assistant Professor at the Conservatoire CRR in Paris.
Alejandro has studied trombone at the “Oscar Espla” Higher Conservatory in Alicante and at the Regional Higher Conservatory in Paris. He is currently Professor of trombone at the Conservatoire Camille Saint -Saëns in Paris and Assistant Professor at the Conservatoire CRR in Paris.
As an interpreter, he gives courses, workshops and concerts throughout Europe and Latin America.

Rafa Grau (director of the metals group)
He graduated in Trumpet and Composition at the Conservatori Superior de Música “Salvador Seguí” in Castelló de la Plana and at the Conservatori Superior “Óscar Esplà” in Alacant.
He also obtained a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education from the University of Valencia.
He was educated as director with the following professors: Vicente Soler Solano, Juan Luis Martínez, Aureli Chorro Vila, José Martínez Colomina, Marco Zuccarini, Emin Guven Yalisçam and Hachim Holub.
In 2016, he obtains the Prize to the best conductor in the VIII International Course of Band Direction “Ciudad de Badajoz”. In addition, in November 2017, he conducts the Municipal Band of Badajoz in a season concert as guest conductor.
On the other hand he has been titular director of l’Agrupació Musical Enovense and has directed the band of the Conservatori Superior de Música d’Alacant.
He is currently the director of the Societat Musical de la Llosa de Ranes.
